Users of electric cargo bikes have specific expectations: a powerful engine, Reliable in the long term, simple to maintain, and integrated into an easy-to-use system. The Virvolt 2000 engine was developed to meet these requirements.

Main engine features:

• Torque of 70 Nm, equivalent to more than 110 Nm felt at the pedals

• Design clutchless with enclosed nylon gears for improved reliability

• Reinforced 10mm CrMo steel axle, capable of supporting up to 150 kg

• Temperature sensor integrated for intelligent performance management

• Compatibility with the software suite eBikeOS, for connected and scalable assistance

Weighing 4.2 kg, with a no-load speed of 270 RPM and an OLD shaft of 142 mm, this rear electric bike motor is perfectly suited to the constraints of load transport, particularly for the professional cargo bikes.

A French production in stages, for sustainable relocation

At Virvolt, we believe in a gradual, structured and consistent industrial relocation that aligns with our vision of sustainability.

The Virvolt 2000 engine is fully aligned with this approach, following the same model as our 900 engine. This continuity ensures economic viability while reinforcing our commitment to French production. The racking is already being done in France, and engine assembly will begin at Renault's Flins Refactory in the second half of 2025.

The main components will be progressively manufactured in France starting in the first half of 2026, marking a decisive step towards industrial sovereignty. In parallel, the assembly of our Virvolt Horizon screen is also planned to take place in France starting in 2026.

In the long term, the Virvolt 2000 motor will become a 100% French, competitive solution, perfectly adapted to the evolution of the electric mobility market.
