The VIRVOLT factory in Île-de-France
Since 2019, at Virvolt, we have been putting our expertise at the service of bicycle manufacturers. Based in Paris, our team designs complete drivetrains for electric bikes, with a focus on maintaining simple, sustainable and French systems.
We equip and support e-bike brands from the factory to after-sales service in stores, including prototyping. By 2026, our systems will be used by more than 20,000 bikes in circulation. Our main production unit is located in Flins, in the heart of the...Renault Group Refactory plant.

Repairability
Repairable for life. Engines designed to be repaired by professionals for maximum longevity. The right to repair is not an option; it's our initial specification.
Robustness
Our systems combine performance and robustness, with one clear priority: durability. Designed for intensive use, they are conceived from the outset to be reliable, repairable, and to support each bicycle over the long term. Tested to withstand daily wear and tear, they embody a simple principle: to make products that truly last.
Opening
We reject closed systems that dispossess users and workshops. Planned obsolescence is a barrier we are breaking. Too many electric bikes end up in the trash today because of incompatible systems or imposed new standards. We are making the opposite choice: designing open solutions, based on sustainable and modular standards, so that each bike can evolve, be repaired, and continue to ride year after year.
Sovereignty
High standards guide each of our industrial decisions. Our “Made in France” approach is part of a broader vision: to gradually relocate what makes sense, where it truly creates value. We are moving forward pragmatically, structuring strong partnerships and bringing the production of our powertrains closer to our home country, step by step.
