At Virvolt, we don’t just design motors.
At Virvolt, we don't just design motors. We are building an ecosystem so that they last over time.
An electric bike is not a disposable product. It's for daily use, kilometers, and mechanical stresses. And inevitably, at some point, it needs maintenance, repairs, and adjustments.
To address this challenge, our approach is simple: We work with the VIRVOLT network:
- Stores trained on our products
- A local network, close to you
- Technicians capable of responding quickly
Today, all tickets opened by our partners are processed in less than 24 hours. Because when your bike is out of service, every day counts. That's also why we always recommend having your bike electrified and maintained by a professional partner.
Why? Because the real issue isn't just the installation. It's about monitoring over time.
A good engine is a good thing. Having a professional near you to maintain it is essential.

To carry out this after-sales service: we recommend the following actions
- Optimize the life of your engine
- Optimize battery life
- Optimize the life of your charger
- Maintain your Virvolt 900 engine with the Refresh kit
Optimize your life engine

The right reflex on the road
Use your mechanical gears appropriately.
Even with electric assistance, remember to shift to a lower gear (easy speed) before stopping. Restarting in an appropriate gear prevents excessive strain on the motor.

How to properly clean your engine ?
• No high pressure: Never use a high-pressure water jet to clean your bike. Pressurized water could damage the seals and injure the internal electronics or mechanics.
• Gentle cleaning: Opt for hand cleaning. Simply use a damp sponge, a soft brush, or a microfiber cloth to remove dust and mud.
• Caution with the products: Avoid spraying degreasers, solvents, or penetrating lubricants directly onto the motor shaft or its covers. This could dissolve the protective grease on the internal bearings.

Maintenance and checks
• The importance of transmission: Your motor (especially if it's equipped with a torque sensor) works in synergy with your bicycle. A clean, properly adjusted, and correctly lubricated chain reduces friction and eases the strain on the motor.
• Visual inspection: Regularly check that no debris (branches, tall grass, accumulated soil) has become lodged around the motor shaft or cassette. Also, ensure that the wiring is securely connected and undamaged.
• Saline or muddy environment: If you ride by the sea (salt) or in thick mud, clean your bike quickly after your ride (always with a cloth or a very low pressure water jet) to prevent any trace of premature corrosion.
Optimize your life battery

The right reflex before leaving
Always remember to check that your battery is properly locked with its key before setting off to avoid vibrations or an accidental fall.

When to connect the battery ?
• Anticipate: It is advisable never to wait until it is completely discharged.
• Unplug: Once fully charged, do not leave your battery unnecessarily plugged into the mains for long periods.

In what order to plug it in ?
• The sector first: First, plug the charger into your mains socket. Always use the original charger supplied by VIRVOLT.
• Next, the battery: Connect the charger tip to your battery.
• Protection: Once charging is complete, make sure to securely close the protective rubber cap on the battery charging port.
For maximum lifespan, always charge at room temperature (between 10°C and 30°C). Avoid thermal shock: do not connect your battery immediately after an outing in very cold weather or prolonged exposure to the sun.

Your charger safety and performance
For your safety and the longevity of your equipment
• For indoor use only: Never charge outdoors.
• Dry environment: Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
• Do not open: Never attempt to open the charger casing.
• Caution: Do not use if the product is damaged, or if it emits smoke or odor.
• Heat: Keep away from all sources of heat.
