Who we are ? Electric bike kit specialists
At Virvolt, our mission is clear: rediscovering the original DNA of the bicycle.
No unnecessary gadgets, no products from the other side of the world. Just low-tech electric bikes, repairable, affordable and designed in Europe, with as many French components as possible.
An electric bike... just like before, but better
We dream of a bicycle:
- Easy to repair anywhere.
- Reliable and robust.
- Affordable, without emptying your bank account.
- And above all, local, to limit the ecological impact.
To achieve our mission, we have created two types of products.
Electrification kits:
Since 2019, more than 10,000 mechanical bicycles have been converted into electric bicycles using our kits. In December 2024, we will offer them in 3 kits (500, 750 and 900).
350 partners (bike shops, associations, rental companies, hotels, communities) worldwide distribute our products and support cyclists on a daily basis.
We have chosen to always offer our products through professional installation to guarantee their long-term performance. We do not sell directly to individuals for home installation.
THE Traction chains for bicycle manufacturers:
Since 2022, we have been collaborating with electric bike manufacturers to integrate our powertrains (motors, batteries, displays) into their models. By 2025, around ten manufacturers in Europe already trust Virvolt, such as Jean Fourche, Treebike Or Hyboo.
Who is behind Virvolt?
There are about ten of us on the Virvolt team, and we've been working on the project since 2019. We went through an electrification workshop, then to five of our own workshops, then supporting partner shops, to the industrialization of our engines in France.
Today, we want to position ourselves as the French motor manufacturer for electric bikes that distributes electrification kits and supports electric bike brands.
